I would like to have a credit card mainly for use over the internet but they only have credit cards where you are a resident in the United States. I applied for a credit card through Tesco but was denied. How can I go about getting one? I am retired and receive a pesnion from my late husband's employer.

If you are currently a resident of Ireland, you should apply for credit card with a bank that issues cards for Irish residents.

Here is a link I found for an Irish credit card through National Irish Bank.

I am not familiar with your local issuers, so I can't vouch for this bank.

You will be able to use any Visa or MasterCard from any issuer online. Purchases that are made in a foreign currency will be converted by your bank and presented on your bill in the local currency.
