I hope you can help. I have two situations.

About two years ago, I received a gas card with a $20 dollar cash limit and an $80 dollar gas limit. At the time that I took out the money, I was getting ready to come home back from college for the summer. The dorm where I was at forwarded my mail along with the gas card statement but it was late. The statement didn't reflect the late charge, so I paid the minimum balance of ten dollars. On the bill, I let them know that my address had changed but I didn't get a bill for two months. Actually, I had to call them to find out what my balance was because I hadn't received any kind of correspondence. When I did get a bill it was for over forty dollars, which I paid but some how I still had a balance owed. My problem is that they zeroed my balance and put it on my credit report. Is there anyway for me to get that off of my credit report?
I called them and asked how to fix the situation and they said it looked like it had already been fixed. They also said that they didn't report to any credit bureaus but they must because I've seen their name on it.

In that same year, I missed paying my visa for two months and my discover for one month but in 2000 I haven't missed a payment? How could I find out what my credit rating would be?

I must admit that at the time I was 18 or 19 and not very good at paying my bills but now I have matured and I am trying to buy or lease a car and I don't want to be denied or have a high interest rate. I have to say that my visa has raised my credit ($500 increments) limits on their own twice this year.

I would recommend that you get your credit reports and dispute the negative information from this creditor. They are telling you it's corrected, but it's obviously not if you have seen negative reporting from them. You have rights under law to dispute inaccurate information on your credit reports.

In regards to your other late payments, yes, they will impact your credit score and they will remain on your credit reports for up to 7 years.

It sounds like you've made some improvements in how you handle credit these days, which is great. Keep it up! :)
