Topic No credit , can't get a credit card..

I just got my SSN three days ago, I already applied for aria and next card and been denied fot no credit history.I have a cheking account with my husband, and all the credit card are his.I don't know how I can get a credit card now,I would like to know what credit cards would approve me and what are good credit cards, because I'm still a little confused with the APR and rates.Please help me find a really good credit card to start a credit history. thanks :)

It may be wise for you to establish your own bank account (using your social security number) and start off establishing credit with "easy" approving creditors such as Fingerhut or Radio Shack. Once you establish a history, you should be able to move into a Visa or MasterCard with reasonable terms.
