Topic How do I get a home depot card Go to previous topic Go to next topic Go to higher level

My credit score is poor, though I own my home and car with no lates for approx one year! I need a card with just about 25k available for a major renovation....

25K is a VERY significant line of credit. Although store cards typically have lax policies about approving people with low credit scores, I would suggest that you talk to your bank about a home renovation loan instead.

A better option than a retail credit card finance vehicle (like a Home Depot or Lowe's credit card) would be a Home Equity Line.

If you own you're own home, and assuming you can document your income, you should be able to tap into that home equity. The interest rate will be much more competitive than a credit card normally would be and the finance charges are tax deductible.

Much better option for you.
