Topic Charged after 1 1/2 Yrs?!?!! Go to previous topic Go to next topic Go to higher level

By cape cod lady On 01/20/05

I just received a charge from a hotel that I stayed at as a guest of the general manager. This stay took place almost 2 yrs. ago. 1) I was not suppose to be paying for this under any circumstance; 2) How can they only now be charging me? How long do vendors have to put through a charge?

2 years sounds fishy. I was once charged (a legitimate charge) by a store 3 months later. The only problem for me was remembering that I actually bought something there.

In any case, you should call the credit card company and dispute the charge. The credit card company should switch the status of this transaction to "pending" and request documents from the hotel.
