If you have a high enough limit on your credit card, I would see if the bank or finance company would let you first pay off the car loan with a credit card. That would, in effect, transfer the balance from the car loan to the credit card. There's probably a fee for paying your car loan early, so see if the interest saved makes it worthwhile.

The short answer is "Yes". This will depend on several factors which are easy to validate. The first of which is, do you have a credit card with a lower APR than the auto loan and enough available credit to pay down the loan (you can pay part, but it depends on the loan agreement)? Many credit cards (banks) are offering balance fund transfer checks that are commonly included with you statement (They will allow you to use these checks for any reason). If not you can call the bank and ask to have a check sent to the issuer of your auto loan for the amount neccesary, provided it meets the aforementioned criteria. They can even offer you a lower APR than is currently on your card if you qualify. I hope this helps.
