I am looking for a card that will accept a balance transfer from a store card (Nordstroms). Know of any?

The rep. from Providian said that they did not transfer balances from store card to credit card. Most credit card providers will transfer balance from credit card to credit card.

I called Nordstrom's and they said that they can transfer a balance from a Nordstrom's retail card to a Nordstrom's Visa card, so perhaps you should apply for a Nordstrom's Visa card and then once you have that you can look around for other cards to transfer that balance to if you are unsatisfied with the Nordstrom's terms.
