My husband and I do realestate investing and we are looking for a card for the buisness. Do you have to be in buisness two years to get a card. My husband also has a full time job and we are a limited liability company. We are currently working on a property that will be up for sale in a month and we are searching for a card that we can use to buy materials then pay off after we sell the homes. My husband filed bankruptcy 9 years ago. Should we apply under both our names. We are not sure how to apply for a buisness card because there isn't any room to tell about the buisness and his full time job.

Most business card issuers look into both the business credit/operational history and the principals personal credit history. Yes, the 2-year requirement is very common (at least, it's commonly used as a basis for rejection), but it's not the only criterion, of course. The bankruptcy on your husband's record does not really improve your chances. If a card allows only one principal to be listed, you are *probably* better off this way (i.e. only listing yourself).
