What if I don't need $50,000 credit limit. I only want to use this card for a small home startup business and only need $5000 limit and already have excellent credit. I want my credit rating to stay high and already have 2 other cards (with no monthly balance ever left; home, cars all paid off) so I don't want a high limit. This card would just help me keep track of my business exp.

Also, the 8 months 0 percent interest - does that apply to purchases for 8 months and what would be the minimum montly payment, say on a $600 - $1000 purchase in the 1st month?

If you are accepted for a card with a $50,000 credit limit, you can always call Discover up and request that your available credit be reduced to $5000. The minimum monthly payment is 2% of your account balance and the 0% applies to balance transfers and new puchases. Good Luck!

Colin is correct on the discover card. Be sure to get that min paymnt in though during the promo offer If you are late making a payment that the apr for purchases will apply to the statement that the late payment was not recieved. If you want the easy way we figure min payment when I am on the phone take the balance and divid by 50 that is 2%, 1/50th. I find that much easier
