My husband left me with open credit cards and did not pay them off, I had just started my credit and then he ruined it. Now I want to rebuild it, what can I do?

It is very crucial to understand how the credit score is calculated. Negative information is only 35% of your total credit score. If it is bad marks in the past that have caused you grief, I would suggest auditing the credit bureaus under the FCRA to see how many of those items you can get removed.
