hey do u have to be 18 to get a credit card ie a student one? please write beack if u know b/c some people have told me that they dont even check your age...so please write back...

I believe that credit card issuers do check your age, plus it is illegal to provide false information on an application.

You can be listed as an authorized user on your parents account or get a pre-paid Visa Buxx card for teens. Once you turn 18 you should have no trouble obtaining a student card.
