How do I get a copy of my credit report? And what company do I get it from? Also, do I have to ask for my husbands too or do they automatically send both? Will it be free or do they charge? Thanks

This is very easy. Let me also tell you something. It is wise to obtain copies of your credit report periodically. You will be amazed at all of the inaccurate info appears. Contact Equifax, Experian, and Transunion. If you tell them you are unemployed then they will send you your report free of charge. Or also, if you tell them you believe there is inaccurate info appearing on your report, they'll send you a copy free of charge. Otherwise, you get stuck paying anywhere from 8 to 12 dollars for it. No, they wont send your husbands just because you are requesting yours. He has to request his seperately. Just include all of your info: name, dob, ss#, address. It usually takes about 30 days before you receive it. Good luck! And for their addresses, go to transunion.com, equifax.com, and experian.com. Good Luck!!!

i highly recommend doing this! a great website that helps you learn more about your credit and how to get your credit reports (they provide you with addresses and forms) is www.cccsmidwest.org i've been working to get wrong information deleted for the last two years, it's a very tedious process but this website helps make sense of it all! good luck!
