I am not sure which banks accept charges from online casinos, but here's a list of three that do not (according to the Jan-21 2002 NY Times article):
"... Among the banks that Mr. Garber said had rejected gambling transactions were Wells Fargo, Providian Financial and MBNA. "
According to the same article, ".. Visa and MasterCard do not have blanket provisions that prohibit banks that issue their cards from paying Internet gambling transactions."
However, I believe about a month ago, there was a ruling that may soon change that. If Visa and Mastercard, not individual banks, decide to stop payments to online casinos, they will probably kill this business altogether.
According to the same much-quoted article, "...Some Internet casino owners say four of every five transaction requests are now denied." And yet, "...Casinos have increasingly turned to third-party credit card processors like SureFire or PayPal, another major processor of Internet gambling".
Ok, so no definite answers here, but it's certainly an interesting topic involving so many issues - financial, moral and legal. If anybody else has anything on this, please add...
