my boyfriend is 24 and can't get a credit card. he's applied to all the possible cards offered online and all of them have rejected him based on "INSUFFICIENT CREDIT HISTORY"

First of all he should stop applying for all the credit cards out there. Applying for alot of cards in a short time hurts your credit rating. Next he should take a look at his credit report. He can get it for free if he has been rejected recently.

1. Establish a checking and savings account
2. Ask for an overdraft credit line on the checking account, many times this is shown on your credit report
3. Apply for a store card from a retailer (make sure they report to the credit bureau(s)
4. 4-6 months from now take a look at Orchard bank credit cards in the browse section @ http://www.creditcardmenu.com
