I have been with the same company over 4 years. I just got promotion to a position where I will travel the US constantly. Therefore I need a credit card for mostly hotels and sometimes airline or car rental. I received approval of a GM card this week for $500, which barely pays one weeks hotel if I get a great rate. They won't reevalute until 6months proof of payment. I am only 21 but purchased a house 7 months ago and have one store credit card. Is there any credit card company that would give me a higher credit balance by verifying with my employer that my travel expenses are reimbursed?

Did you ask your employer if they can get you a corporate card? If possible this is a better idea because than the responsibility is on the company to pay. You don't want to be waiting for expense checks when your credit card statement is due.
I don't believe any credit card companies will take an employers word that they will reimburse an employee for expenses. The issuers need something legally binding.
You could always apply for another card from another issuer, and have two cards active. But as I mentioned above the best solution is having a business/corporate card.
