I have a couple of store cards (MACEY's, Bloomingdales) for 3 years, AMEX Best Buy and SEARS for 2 years and Bank of America (secured - recently unsecured with $2500 limit)for 16 months. I had couple of late payments last year when my mother was seek overseas. Except for that, my credit is OK.
Could you give me any sugestions what card would give me the highest credit limit if any?

If you have been paying the Bank of America card on-time I would recommend that you ask for a credit line increase from them. You could also get one more unsecured card with a similar credit limit to your Bank of America card. Check out the cards in the browse section of http://www.creditcardmenu.com

Good Luck.

Hi Colin,
Thank you for your prompt answer. I have no credit limit on my gold AMEX so I have to pay the whole amount in full every month. My Bank of America card has recently become unsecured so they are also not going to give me the higher credit limit soon. What would be the best card to apply for that would give me the highest possible limit comparing to other cards available. In other words, which one would help me build my credit history as soon as possible? Thanks.

I believe that most issuers will evaluate your credit history in the same way, so you will probably be offered roughly the same $2500 credit limit that you have with BOA. However, if you have two cards with $2500 limits your effective credit available is $5000. A good choice may be the GetSmart card from Providian. The APR is customized to match your credit history, which should mean you will be accepted. Check it out in the browse section.
