What happens to my old card when I balance transfer? I have two cards one totaling 2700.00 which I would like to cancel after it's paid off and the second card has charges totaling 4600.00? What's the best card out there for this? I would like to keep tht latter card because I've been with them for years and I've been getting some good interest rate offers from them. Is it possible to then repay the new card with the old card as I might have a little bit more leverage with them than with the new card? My credit is acceptable it's in the 600 - 700 range? I had a discrepancy on there which I have cleared up recently should I wait to apply once it's been confirmed that the matter has been cleared by the credit bureaus? Lastly, anyone familiar with AT&T Universal Card? "Save money on high rate balances"
Thanks very much for attention to these matters.

When you transfer the full balance of your old credit card to a new card, the old card remains active until you request it to be cancelled. Here are some attractive cards for balance transfers, you can read more in the browse section of http://www.creditcardmenu.com
Juniper - 1.9% 6 months, 9.9 thereafter, no transfer fee. Amex Optima - 8.9% until balance is paid off, no transfer fee. Discover Platinum - 0% until July, variable APR after July, no transfer fee.
Good Luck. Colin
