Topic Returning to school, W\O Credit Go to previous topic Go to next topic Go to higher level

I flunked out of college, but will be returning in Sep 02. I don't have any credit, and would like some. Can I get a student card if I will be going to school? I have a checking account, and pay all my bills on time. But nobody seems to want to approve me. Help!

Dave - If you are enrolled in a 4 year college you should be able to get a student card. The American Express Card could be another option for getting started. The card has an annual fee and your balance needs to be paid monthly.

Keep in mind that if you apply for many cards in a short period of time this can adversely affect your credit history.
