The Capital One Milesone card and the American Express Membership rewards program allow you to earn points on various airlines.

I got one from First Union. It's $75/year and I get 1.2 miles/dollar spend, bonus for balance transfers. I can also use it for cash back if I don't want to use it for miles or I don't have enough to cash in.
