I would like to know if there is a difference between a Visa and a Master card?
If so what is it? OK for you smart alecs besides the name.

From what I know, there is very little difference within the U.S. Most issuers offer both MC and Visa. Also, if a merchant accepts Visa, they are almost guaranteed to also accept MasterCard.

The story is different abroad.
I think Visa is more universally accepted than MasterCard.

P.S. I am not an expert, just a visitor. If anybody has more information, please add.
