I have an AT&T credit card and an American Express charge card. I'm thinking about switching my credit card to an American Express Optima because of the superior service I've received from AMEX, but I'm worried that closing an account with 8 months of good credit history and starting all over again with an AMEX Optima is going to lower my credit report points. Should I be concerned?

Your credit history with the AT&T and Amex charge card should be reflected on your credit report, so you will not be "starting all over again", rather you will be continuing to build a solid credit history if you keep on paying on time. Good Luck!
