i want to repair my credit but i owe visa 1,123 dollars.the account is so over due that a collection agency is contacting me.if i pay them will it help to repair my credit. | |

The sum you owe is but a small amount and paying it back directly to your credit card provider will certainly be a good idea. Make sure you receive a letter of discharge from them so that you could send a copy to the Credit Bureau or have it on file as 'Proof of final settlement'. | |
