Over the last 8 years I have had about 6 different credit cards all of which I have had cancelled or charged out. Is there any way that I can get a credit card without having to pay a fee in order to get one. I am looking to get something that is pre-approved. I do not want anything that is unsecured or anything where I have to basically open up a savings account in order to have a credit card. Is there anything out there that I can get???

Keeping in mind that a credit card is an unsecured loan, that is, someone is giving you money with the only collatereal being that you say you will pay what you owe... keeping that in mind, would you lend yourself money or would you ask for some kind of deposit? With the kind of record you're talking about, if you don't get a secured card you will be paying extraordinarily high fees to obtain credit.

My advice, stay away from credit for a while. Let things settle down and start slowly with a low credit line department store card. Build up some positive credit and soon the offers will be coming to you.

Best of luck,
