I'm a little lost. I just got a job recently where i get to travel around on the account of the office. however, i would be needing to put things on a credit card so that i can get reimbursed (reimbursement is guaranteed). SO, i need to get a credit card. Problem--my 2nd year of college ('97/98) is when i started my credit card escapade. young with credit was a bad mix. i built up a bill of 2 grand on two cards. i haven't paid them as of now. they still send me bills and with me just getting a job now, i really don't have money to pay them back yet. i also have loans for college under my name, but i'm totally settled with that (meaning i'm in good terms with them). BUT, i still need a credit card to help me out on these trips. what do you think??? and if i can apply for a card, who would be best for this?

Well, remember that credit cards are just like loans with no collateral. Since you already owe money on other cards and have not been paying, you will be considered a very bad risk. You may have to settle for a secured card, if you can get one. You may also be able to use a debit card until you can get your credit issues solved.
Try looking in the browse menu for some card recomendations. Good luck and congrats on your new job!
