What do you think of the new card put out by Connecticut-based People's Bank?

By colin On 07/24/01

I did not know that Peoples Bank is offering a Air Miles Card, and they do not show it on their web site. How much is the annual fee? What airlines are the miles good on?

By jjjjjjjjjj On 07/24/01

The fee is $55. Free domestic airline tickets on a variety of airlines (including Continental) and require 25,000 points - no blackout dates. They introduced the AirRewards Card July 11.

Is there a cap on the annual reward miles? I noticed in your previous posting that you estimate your spending to be around $7000/month. That would probably add up to roughly 4 trips if you have unlimited annual miles but could only be 2 trips if you have a cap of say 50,000 miles

There is no cap and the points expire in 3 years.
If I am going to Italy, should I also carry a VISA card? This is a MasterCard.
Thanks for your help!

That sounds like an attractive product. It would not hurt to have both a Visa & Mastercard. Enjoy your trip.

Please post the web address to get more info on this card. It sounds just like what I'm looking for.

Well, I found this: http://www.peoples.com/im/cda/multi_elements/1,6832,11879,00.html

The address runs through the .html, including the commas. You'll have to copy and paste.

I e.mailed for information on enrolling.
