I got called up on the phone to apply for a credit card. I was half asleep and didn't know what I was doing, so i did it anyway.
When i get this card can i cancel it without any fees and stuff? Because I simply do not want this thing.
And is there a special way to cancel a card?
Or can i avoid it just by not using it.

If you do not ask for the card to be canceled it will remain as an open account, and will show up on your credit report as available credit. The best way to close an account is to send in a letter to the issuer and request that the account be closed and that this information be reported to the credit bureau. Make sure your letter goes to the correct address for closing accounts. I would also call them and let them know.
