I was looking for the card with the best cash rebate. The American Express Platinum card headline says "up to 2% cash back", but the fine print doesn't show an available rebate above 1.5%, and that rate doesn't kick in until you spend > $7000. Is anyone aware of a better deal?

I added the fine print that shows how you can receive the 2%. "If your account is carrying a balance, you will receive an additional 0.5% rebate for that billing period." Another card you can look at is the discovercard. I briefly reviewed this offer and it looks very similar.
