I have built a good credit history and carry a couple of platinum cards. I make timely payments. There is one card on which I have charged about 50% of my credit limit. However, everytime I try to apply for Amex Blue I am turned down. I don't understand why.

What did Amex state as the reason for turning you down? You may have some inaccurate data in your credit report..
