I havea card with DiscoverCard that I have had for many years. I have a very high APR and I am a couple hundred dollars over my balance. I can not pay this down as my minimums are astronomical. They are very unwilling to help out. I wnat to try to transfer my balance if possible. Any suggestions?
Even though your minimum payments are high, I hope you have been able to make payments on time. If you damage your credit history with late payments, the chance of being able to transfer balances to low rate cards will be greatly diminished.
Anyway, you could try for the Capital One Platinum card or the NextCard Plus. They offer balance transfer rates of 9.9% and 9.99% respectively.
