Topic Good Credit Question
Well, I shouldn't say "good" - I have what my bank calls "excellent" credit. Yet, the other day I noticed an ad online for Aria VISA and decided to apply. I was rejected! I haven't received a copy of my credit report from Experian yet, but when I applied for my new car loan, I was allowed to see what my bank pulled. I have never had so much as a late payment. In fact, all of my payments are paid earlier than the due date. I asked the people at Aria and Experian both if they knew of any reason I could have been rejected. Aria said to ask Experian and Experian said they couldn't tell me. Now I'm almost afraid to apply for another low interest card online. I am definitely not over-credited. I make $58,000 a year. What could the problem be?
Since you have been recently refused a credit card you are eligible for a free credit report from the bureau your information was obtained from, in this case it appears to be Experian 888-397-3742. Also, the issuer is required to indicate why you were turned down. It may be that some wrong information has ended up on your credit history. It happens!! Good Luck.
